Charles Dickens wrote the story BECAUSE HE FELT LIKE IT!
On to more educational approach. Charles Dickens wrote the story to show change, specifically how people can change. How a man of evil and potentially a harbinger of death can change to show wealth and giving.
I came to this conclusion with, of course, the lecture for today. It made me realize that cheating your way through something is not going to give you an analysis of any kind.
