Welcome back....er...It is glad to be back.
I have had a league of absence this week due to multiple factors:
-Scholarship Essays
-Mountains of Homework
-A particularly bad hit of the flu
-A project due in my AP Gov. class
I know I have missed a couple quotes and the lit. analysis, but I intend to have them up this weekend when I catch up with all my work.
This has the first week of my life were I can legitimately say that I have felt stress...and a lot of it....
Sorry for the inconvenience

Tale of Two Cities Lecture Notes
Said by Tony Williams
- 3 cities involved (Manchester)
- 1857- Dickens assisted his friend in writing of the play, "The Frozen Deep"
- Self-sacrificed is a plot line that transfers from "The Frozen Deep" to Tale of Two Cities
- Many characters from "The Frozen Deep" are transferred over into Tale of Two Cities
- Doubleness of character is a main point in writing Tale of Two Cities
- In 1788, Dickens divorced his wife PUBLICLY
- Many disturbing sights haunted him for years
- Dickens wrote about London like a newspaper. (there but disconnected)
- London is a labyrinth
- Paris made a HUGE impression on young Dickens
- Paris was perfect in his eyes
- At the end of Tale of Two Cities, Dickens wrote about the changes happening to Paris
- Constantly drawn to the morgue
- Traveled to Italy in 1844
Could not finish the notes due to the lecture being an hour long. I have other homework due tomorrow and not enough time to do it at the moment. I will get back to this tomorrow and finish the notes. [Stopped at 17:46]
Quote of the Day Jan. 29
I want to live my life so that my nights are not full of regrets. -David Herbert Lawrence
What's the Story?
Charles Dickens wrote the story BECAUSE HE FELT LIKE IT!
On to more educational approach. Charles Dickens wrote the story to show change, specifically how people can change. How a man of evil and potentially a harbinger of death can change to show wealth and giving.
I came to this conclusion with, of course, the lecture for today. It made me realize that cheating your way through something is not going to give you an analysis of any kind.
Notes will be posted in the next post (My evidence).

Dickens Map
I chose to read Great Expectations because I didn't really read it the first time. I kinda skimmed through it and spark noted the rest. Now, as punishment, I feel like I have to create a really good remix for the novel. That shall come at a later date. I plan to read it in bits in pieces starting tonight and extending through the latter part of the week. Over the weekend, I plan to read constantly...maybe...
